The club season got underway around the country in recent weeks, with matches in the provincial league and cup competitions. But Thursday’s draw for the opening two rounds of the 2008/09 AIB Cup certainly whetted appetites for the return of the domestic scene’s big hitters – the AIB League’s 48 senior clubs.
