Try Rugby in An Cheathru Rua

Try Rugby Summer camps, sponsored by Centra, were on in An Cheathru Rua last week, with approximately 40 kids taking part.

The camp was done As Gaelige by all the coaches, and, according to Cian deBuitlear from An Ghaeltacht An Cheathru Rua RFC it was a great success! “The children really enjoyed themselves at the camp this year.  A special mention for Jamie Stephens  and Robert Hurley who were superb, they were patient, polite and good humoured with the children and  spoke Irish all the time! We were all very impressed and would have them back tomorrow!”

Wendy Hickey, Summer Camp coordinator, was pleased with the turn out of the camp. “I was delighted we could offer An Cheathru Rua a camp that was fully done As Gaelige. I would also like to thank Cian deBuitlear and Coilin who took time off work to coach during the week. The work these people do and their dedication to the club is fantastic and is the reason clubs like An Cheathru Rua are doing so well!”

Joe Merrigan, Dave Gannon and Conor O’Loughlin were on hand to play a few games with the kids, sign some autographs and get a few photos taken.
