In Pics: Budweiser Beach Tag At Inchydoney

Saturday last week saw Budweiser Beach Tag arrive at Inchydoney in County Cork and a great day (and night) of Festival Tag Rugby it was. Read on for further details.

As the sun finally put its hat on (hip-hip-hip hooray) the Beach Tag games were in full-swing as teams from venues all over the country competed for four trophies.

Friends and family all watched on the sidelines enjoying a beer and a bite and following the presentations, everyone headed back on the courtesy bus to the Clonakilty RFC clubhouse to enjoy a night of music and dancing.

Congratulations to the winners, comiserations to the runners-up and a huge thank you to all who participated be they refs, players, spectators or administration!

Winners were as follows:

Group 1 Cup – The Kidz

Group 2 Cup – Muck Savages

Group 2 Plate – Key West

Group 2 Bowl – Knocklofty Centaurs

The final Budweiser Beach Tag of the season takes place tomorrow at Old Bawn Beach in Courtown with Gorey RFC as hosts. It all kicks off at 1pm.

News next week with photos from Courtown and the build-up to the first ever All-Ireland Budweiser Tag Open Championships, which are being staged at Galway Corinthians RFC on Saturday, July 19.
