Women’s Team Seek Coach

The Irish Women’s team are seeking applications for the position of head coach. The Women’s team have enjoyed increasing success on the international stage in recent seasons and are looking to appoint a high calibre coach.

The Irish Women’s Rugby Union are looking for suitable candidates for the position of head coach for the Irish Women’s senior XV.

The Irish Women’s team play in the RBS 6 Nations tournament during the months of February and March and then again in the FIRA-AER European Championship in May.

The head coach is responsibile for the selection, preparation and management of the Irish Women’s senior XV. It is intended that the coach will be appointed for a two-year term with a review at the end of the first season.

Candidates should be IRFU Level 2 accredited coaches or equivalent* with a minimum of 2-3 years head coaching experience at Stage 4 IRFU LTPD (Under-19 to Under-21 or club J1 to club senior XV) or senior Women’s provincial XV.

The closing date for applications is Friday, July 25, 2008.
