Blackrock Appoint McWilliams As Rugby Co-Ordinator

The close season is the time for new appointments in many clubs. Blackrock College RFC have just appointed Greg McWilliams to the position of Rugby Co-ordinator.

Greg McWilliams has been the head coach of the Blackrock Under-20s Academy for the past three seasons. In the last two years, the Blackrock Under-20s have captured the JP Fanagan League twice and the McCorry Cup.

He is also the current Senior Cup coach at St Michael’s College, and was coach to the team that won the cup for the first time in the school’s history in 2007.

As well as Greg’s involvement with the school and the Academy in Blackrock, he is also the head coach of the Leinster Schools Development team.

Outside of coaching the Under-20 Premier XV, Greg will be responsible for the skill development of all players at Blackrock College RFC, running the Academy alongside Michael Hearty and putting in place a long-term rugby development plan for the club’s future.
