Budweiser Tag Registering Festival Teams
With nine Festivals being staged over seven weekends of Summer ’08, planning your saturdays and registering your team to play in any of the Provincials, Beach Tags or the All-Ireland will be an easy decision to make………
Kicking off the Tag Festival season on the 7th of June will be Rugbaí Corca Dhuibhne’s (Dingle RFC) hosting of a Beach Tag Festival on the beautiful coast of Dingle in Co.Kerry.
Three more Beach Tag events will follow and they are at Clifden (hosted by Connemara RFC) on June 21st, Inchydoney, Co.Cork (hosted by Clonakilty RFC) on July 5th and then Courtown, Gorey, Co.Wexford (hosted by Gorey RFC) on July 12th.
Details on accomodation, location, schedules will follow from next week onwards.
Four Provincial Championships will be held all through summer also. These will culminate with the All-Ireland Open Championships at Galway Corinthians RFC on July 19th.
The Connacht Provincials are on June 14th at Westport RFC in Co.Mayo. Ulster’s Provincial Championship takes place on June 21st at the wonderful facilities at Bangor RFC. Leinster and Munster have theirs on the same date which is June 28th. Leinster Pros at Suttonians RFC and Munster’s at Clonmel RFC.
All of these Festivals are OPEN. This means you do not need to qualify to enter. You do not even need to registered as a team in the Budweiser Tag Summer Leagues! First come, first served.
Enquiries for these festivals have been extremely numerous especially in the last two weeks. Best not leave it too late as these places will go especially once the summer leagues start!
