Paul Flood (1955-2008)

With great sadness, we announce that Paul Flood of the IRFU Leisure Rugby Department passed away on Thursday afternoon.

Paul was heavily involved in rugby at many levels, including a strong involvement with the IRFU Tag Rugby programme in recent years.

A long-time member of St. Mary’s College RFC and an experienced referee with the Leinster Branch, ‘Floody’ will be missed by all his friends and colleagues in the Irish Rugby Football Union.


Funeral arrangements are available in today’s newspapers.


The staff and committee of the Irish Rugby Football Union would like to express their condolences to Paul’s family at this time. May he Rest in Peace
