Dungannon Climb Off Bottom Spot With Vital Win

Dungannon climbed into 13th place in the Division One standings thanks to a gritty 24-12 win over UL Bohemians at Stevenson Park on Saturday afternoon.

Ending a three-match losing streak, ‘Gannon were helped on their way by flanker David Pollock’s brace of tries in the first half.

The hosts led 14-7 at half-time with recent AIB Club international John Ed O’Connor replying with a try for Bohs.

Former Ireland Under-19 international Murray Kinsella also touched down for Bohs but ‘Gannon out-half Richard McCarter’s haul of 14 points, which included a second half try, proved decisive.
