The IRFU, in conjunction with the Irish Amateur Weightlifting Association, is offering coaches at school and club level the opportunity to complete a Level 1 Weight Lifting Coaching Award.

The course for 2008 will start on the weekend of February 23-24 at Castletroy College, Limerick. Participants must attend the weekend and two follow-up days to gain the award.

IRFU/IAWA Level 1 Course dates are as follows:

Saturday, February 23, 2008 (start time: 10am)
Sunday, February 24, 2008
 
Saturday, April 12, 2008 (start time: 10am) /Sunday, April 13, 2008 (one day only)
 
(And a further Assessment Day in the summer of 2008)

Course Entry Criteria

The course is open to coaches who have attended the week-long CCC Course in the University of Ulster or the University of Limerick over the last three years.
