Leinster were the only Irish province to win in the opening round of pool matches in this season’s Heineken Cup. They had a colourful backing at the RDS for their 22-9 victory over Leicester Tigers, while Ulster paid for a poor start against Gloucester at the Ravenhill and defending champions Wasps came from behind to edge out Munster at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
