Young Exiles to Play Scottish Counterparts

The Exiles U18s will play their first inter-exiles game against their Scottish counterparts later this month. John S. Hunter brings us up to date.

The first inter-Exiles fixture of the season is planned for Sunday 30 September, when our opponents will be our Scottish equivalents. The venue will be St. Mary’s University College, Twickenham.

The Exiles U18 squad is based on the squad that went to Ireland in August, with a couple of players unavailable then able to take their opportunity now.

The squad includes two players who are ‘a year young’ i.e. tight-head Luke Murphy-Wooldridge and right-wing James Twomey.

Both showed their abilities when they started against Leinster in our last U18 game and have good pedigrees, being with Saracens and Leeds Carnegie Elite Player Development Centres respectively.
