Head Coach Wanted For AIB Club International Team

The IRFU are inviting suitable candidates to apply for the position of head coach for the Ireland AIB Club team, who will play two international matches during the coming season.

The inaugural AIB Club International match took place in March 2006 when the Ireland Club XV beat a Scottish selection 30-13 at Donnybrook. The fixture proved extremely popular and the AIB Club side played two games in 2007. They beat England Counties 20-17 at Donnybrook but lost the return fixture to Scotland 18-11.

The games are part of the IRFU/AIB Community Rugby Programme and give non-contracted club players the opportunity to win representative honours for Ireland and to showcase the club game at the highest possible level.

The IRFU is seeking applications for the position of head coach of the side.

The position of head coach is a volunteer post with responsibility for the selection and preparation of the AIB Club team working alongside a manager, assistant coach and provincial selectors.
