Connacht Add To Pre-Season Fixture List

Connacht have set up three more pre-season friendlies to add to their glamour clash with South Africa at the Sportsground on August 21.

Michael Bradley’s side have pencilled in back-to-back encounters with French club Castres, who now count former Ireland and Lions lock Jeremy Davidson amongst their senior coaching staff, while Connacht will also pay a visit to NEC Harlequins before their season begins in earnest.

The Connacht v Castres games will take place at the Sportsground on Tuesday, August 28 and Saturday, September 1. The French club are basing themselves in Galway for a short pre-season training camp.

Saturday, September 8 will see Connacht travel to London to meet NEC Harlequins, their frequent Challenge Cup foes, at the Stoop before the Magners League kicks off.

The high-profile meeting with South Africa and the double-header against Castres will be covered by season tickets which are currently on sale from the Connacht Branch (www.connachtrugby.ie) and www.ticketmaster.ie.

Season ticket holders will gain free admission to the clash with the Springboks and will also have the option of buying another ticket. Connacht CEO Gerry Kelly said that the August 21 game will be a sell-out with match tickets going on sale next Monday.

Connacht season tickets are available at the following prices:

Regular €180, Gold (access to enclosed seating and bar) €255, Student/Senior €110, Family (two adults and two children) €320 and Junior (7-18 years) €60

Connacht season ticket holders will gain entry to all nine Magners League games at the Sportsground, the three group games in the European Challenge Cup and all pre-season friendlies.
