Ten Players Added To Training Squad

Ten players have been added to Ireland’s Six Nations training squad this week ahead of Saturday’s clash with Scotland (Murrayfield, kick-off 1.30pm). Meanwhile, scrum half Isaac Boss is to undergo a scan on the shoulder he injured in Ulster’s Magners League defeat to Llanelli at the weekend.

Following the injury he suffered against Llanelli, Boss will undergo a scan on his shoulder this morning. Wasps scrum half Eoin Reddan has been added to the Irish squad as precautionary cover.

The squad will go through their paces at a training session in Bray today and tomorrow before coach Eddie O’Sullivan confirms the starting team and replacements for the Scotland game.

The following players have been added to the squad for training this week:

Backs: Tommy Bowe (Belfast Harlequins/Ulster), Barry Murphy (UL Bohemians/Munster), Rob Kearney (UCD/Leinster), Geordan Murphy (Leicester Tigers), Eoin Reddan (London Wasps)

Forwards: Trevor Hogan (Shannon/Leinster), Jamie Heaslip (Clontarf/Leinster), Stephen Ferris (Dungannon/Ulster), Bryan Young (Ballymena/Ulster), Frankie Sheahan (Cork Constitution/Munster)
