AIB Cup Draw

The draw for the next round of the AIB CUP took place today at AIB Bankcentre. With holder Cork Con out there will be a new champion this year.

The draw for the quarter finals of the AIB Cup took place at AIB Bankcentre today. With holders Cork Con knocked out by St. Maary’s we are guaranteed a new champion.

The quarter finals will take place on the weekend of Februray 3rd/4th.


Bookies favourites Mary’s were handed an away tie with Garryowen for their efforts in knocking out Con, while Clonaklity, the only non Division One side left in the cup, have been drawn away to Terenure College RFC.


The draw for the AIB Cup Quarter Final in full is:


Belfast Harlequins V Galwegians


Terenure College RFC V Clonakilty


Garryowen V St. Mary’s College RFC


UCD V Shannon


The competition brings together both senior and junior clubs from all four provinces that were put forward for participation in the AIB Cups based on their performances in the respective provincial cup and League competitions.
