Pictured above: The Leinster players and management celebrate their IRFU Under-20 Interprovincial Championship final win over Ulster in Athlone. Leinster came from 15-0 down, with tries from Felix Jones and Vasily Artemiev and 10 points from the boot of Ian Keatley seeing them to victory.

Ian Whitten of Queen’s University and Ulster is tackled by UCD and Leinster duo Sean O’Brien and Paul O’Donohoe.

Belfast Harlequins and Ulster centre Darren Cave, who was capped by the Ireland Under-21s last season, runs in an early try at Dubarry Park.

Cave dots downs his score. Both Cave and Ulster U-20 captain David Pollock, two of the Academy’s best talents, were awarded Development contracts by Ulster earlier this month.

Dungannon and Ulster’s Thomas Anderson, the son of former Ireland captain Willie, brings Leinster’s Zack Farivarz (Blackrock College) to ground with a bump. Anderson returned from injury for the final.

Enniskillen and Ulster winger Chris Bruce, who scored one of his side’s two first half tries, is challenge by Shane Monaghan of Dublin University and Leinster.

As the rain spits down, Queen’s University star David Pollock leaps highest for a lineout ball, beating Leinster captain Conor McInerney (UCD).

Leinster winger Shane Monaghan is caught in a tackle.

Thomas Anderson gets his pass away, just in front of Zack Farivarz.

Leinster number eight Sean O’Brien is tackled by his opposite number Johnny Graham (Ballynahinch). Carlow man O’Brien played for the Ireland Under-21s last season.

Ian Keatley, one of six UCD players in the Leinster starting XV, lines up his match-winning penalty kick.

Keatley, who helped Belvedere College win the Leinster Schools Senior Cup in 2005, celebrates at the final whistle.

Leinster skipper Conor McInerney, who was part of the Irish squad at last April’s IRB Under-19 World Championship in Dubai, raises the trophy aloft.
