Bradley wants Connacht to bounce back

…Sunset in Galway: Lineout action between Connacht and Llanelli…

Connacht coach Michael Bradley is hoping that his team will show what Football Manager Iain Dowie calls “bouncebackability” following their defeat against Llanelli last week.

Bradley was disappointed with the way Friday night’s encounter went, as Connacht surrendered their 100% start to the Magners League.

We were particularly disappointed with some of the tries we conceded. Three of them were soft from our perspective, but on the night we could have no complaint.

We were chasing the game from the start, so there was always the danger we would cough up some soft scores.

We needed to make our dominance at the start of the second-half count in terms of scores, but while it was encouraging the way we took the game to them at that stage, we were not able to make it count on the scoreboard, he said.

Bradley said that Llanelli’s dominance in the scrum was a big factor in their victory, but he now wanted Connacht to get back to winning ways when they take on Edinburgh Gunners next Friday.

This will be the third of six successive Magners League games we have at home. In that time some of the best rugby players in Europe will come to the Sportsground.”

We knew from the outset it would be a challenge and having won our opening two games we will be looking to getting back to winning ways against Edinburgh, even though it will be tough, added Bradley.
