Magners League Confirms Fixtures

Following the recent announcement of the television schedule for the Magners League, all of the ties including non televised games have been confirmed.

Munster have the honour of being involved in the very first game of the Magners League when their game in the Arms Park against Cardiff Blues kicks off at 19:10 on Friday September first. The game will feature on BBC Wales.

Connacht, led by new Captain John Fogarty, will open their account away to the Border Reivers on Friday September first at 19:30.

Defending Champions Ulster will have a 19:30 kick off the next day at home to Llanelli Scarlets and the game will be live on Setanta Sports in Ireland. The Scarletts have announced that Ireland International Simon Easterby will again Captain the club with Welsh and Lions Scrum Half Dwayne Peel named as Vice Captain. Easterby has also captained Ireland in last season’s autumn international series.

Leinster, sitting out week one, will open their campaign with a trip to Murrayfield to play the Edinburgh Gunners under interim head coach Henry Edwards, and his assistants Rob Moffat and Iain Paxton.
