Pictured above: Clontarf centre Breffni O’Donnell tries to break through the Harlequins defence at a wet and muddy Castle Avenue. The 22-year-old, who transferred up from UL Bohemians, has been capped at Under-19 and Under-21 level for Ireland, and he played in the recent AIB Club International against Scotland.

Clontarf prop Rob Sweeney, another player who was capped by the Ireland Club team earlier this month, goes on the attack.

Clontarf full-back Darragh O’Shea carries forward against ‘Quins. O’Shea, capped at Under-21 and senior level for Leinster, is ‘Tarf’s top scorer in the AIB League this season – he kicked three conversions on Saturday to take his tally for the campaign up to 72 points.

O’Shea puts in a tackle on Harlequins winger Johnny Lowe.

The weather and muddy conditions ruled the roost at Castle Avenue as Clontarf back row Philip Purdue shows on his face and jersey.

Relief – covered in mud but an eighth league win on the trot to cherish – Clontarf’s Philip Purdue at full-time.
