Munster prop Marcus Horan has rejoined the Ireland training squad for the RBS 6 Nations following a bout of illness (winter vomiting bug).

Horan was replaced by Reggie Corrigan in the Ireland XV for Saturday’s 43-31 defeat by France after being laid low during last week.

Seven other players – Mick O’Driscoll, Matt McCullough, Anthony Foley, Neil Best, Denis Hickie, Girvan Dempsey and Barry Murphy – have been added to the squad for training this week before a short break-up ahead of the clash with Wales on Sunday week.

Munster lock O’Driscoll captained the Ireland ‘A’ side in their 20-12 defeat by France ‘A’ in Limoges on Friday. Best and Barry Murphy also started the ‘A’ game.
