In the Senior Cup, there will be two local derbies in the last-eight. Terenure College, the only AIB League Division Two side left in the running, play host to Dublin rivals St. Mary’s College, while Connacht neighbours Galwegians, with the home draw, and Buccaneers will also go toe-to-toe.

‘Wegians and Buccs have played twice previously this season – Buccs, with new coach Geoff Moylan at the helm, won both encounters to secure a Connacht Senior League and Cup double in October.

The other quarter-final ties have pitted four of Division One’s leading five clubs against each other. Cork Constitution, who currently sit third in the table, are to entertain fourth-placed Belfast Harlequins. Still yet to lose in the league after seven rounds of action, second-placed Garryowen will welcome fifth-ranked Clontarf to Dooradoyle next month.
