Pictured above: A joyous Jamie Heaslip slides over for Leinster’s opening try in first half injury-time on Saturday. The score, Heaslip’s first in competititve action for the province, helped the visitors into a 13-9 half-time lead.

Leinster fly-half and stand-in captain Felipe Contepomi tries to wriggle free of the attentions of Connacht’s new Tongan international signing Andrew Mailei (left) and captain Andrew Farley (left). Already the Celtic League’s top scorer coming into the match, Pumas star Contepomi kicked three penalties and a conversion to take his 2005/06 league tally up to 108 points.

Connacht replacement fly-half Paul Warwick, who made his debut for Buccaneers last weekend in the AIB Cup, tackles Leinster centre Shane Horgan.

Leinster and Ireland centre Gordon D’Arcy is stopped in his tracks by Connacht scrum half Chris Keane. Another Buccaneers man, Keane had a good day at the office on Saturday, most notable for a well-judged first half break from inside his own 22 up to the Leinster 10-metre line. Unfortunately the westerners’ support was slow and Leinster had time to regroup.

Shane Horgan is wrapped up by Connacht lock Christian Short as former Connacht hooker Bernard Jackman (left), now in Leinster blue, tries to assist.
