Exiles To Feature Against Australia

The announcement of the Ireland team, for Saturday’s game versus Australia, shows no surprises and we are pleased that Exile Simon Easterby retains the captaincy.

The announcement of the Ireland team, for Saturday’s game versus Australia, shows no surprises and we are pleased that Exile Simon Easterby retains the captaincy.

We wish Simon well for Saturday coming, after the toughest baptism into captaincy that anyone could expect i.e. against the All Blacks last Saturday. (N.B. Simon’s brother Guy remains injured; hence, out of contention.)

Fellow Exile Kieran Campbell retains his place on the bench, as reserve scrum-half, and we trust that his first appearance at home for Ireland will not be too far away. Kieran is a good role model for the aspiring young professional: while playing at London Irish, he studied at Brunel University, and completed his degree at the University of Ulster when he moved to Ulster.
