Ireland’s 38-point defeat at the hands of the All Blacks has seen Eddie O’Sullivan’s side remain seventh in the IRB World Rankings.

A mammoth 17 international matches were played over the weekend, with the biggest change in the top 10 seeing England move up to fourth, swapping places with Australia, whom they beat 26-16 at Twickenham on Saturday.

Ireland, who would have gone fourth in they had beaten New Zealand, are still seventh, but Argentina have drawn closer to them in eighth following their win over Scotland at Murrayfield. The Pumas are now five rating points behind the Irish.

The vanquished Scots have dropped down to tenth. Romania, Ireland’s opponents on November 26, are 18th.
