Our congratulations, and best wishes, go to Simon Easterby (the Ireland and Llanelli Scarlets flanker), who has been called up by the British & Irish Lions (to replace Lawrence Dallaglio) for the New Zealand tour.
He will, of course, join another Exile out there – Lions’ Doctor Gary O’Driscoll. We trust their relationship will be purely social!
We also hope that Simon may emulate the achievements of fellow Exile Rob Henderson, who went from being an unheralded player (by some pundits), at the start of the last Lions’ tour to Australia, to become one of the fixtures’ on the Test XV.
