The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Coaching to the Munster Team. The Director of Coaching plays an integral part of the IRFU rugby operations and will have a pivital role within Munster rugby. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to operate within an ambitious, challenging and successful rugby environment and we are looking to hear from candidates who can:

– Design and deliver world-class rugby coaching techniques and systems
– Bring high levels of success within competitions
– Maintain our position as one of the top Teams in Europe
– Develop a planned approach for player and coach development
– Implement a tailored fitness, strength and conditioning programme for players

The successful candidate will have:

– a minimum of 2 years coaching experience at this or a higher level
– a proven track record of coaching professional rugby at a similar level
– a high level of personal ambition and desire for success
– strong communication, leadership and presentation skills
– a positive and proactive approach to coaching rugby
– an ability to build strong working relationships with all stakeholders
