With the Division One tie between Dublin University and Cork Constitution called off due to an unplayable pitch for the second time, the focus switched to the four games in the lower divisions.

Mike Tewkesbury’s Bohs picked up a much-needed second win in four 2005 outing so far, as Martin converted centre Coleman Finn’s try at Thomond Park.

Munster centre Jason Holland and back row Kevin Brierly touched down for the visitors, but it proved not enough to stave off a seventh loss of the season for the Cork men.

At Rosbrien, Old Crescent condemned a struggling Barnhall to a 29-6 loss, while Young Munster relied a Clem Casey try and 14 points from the boot of Mark Connlly as they edged Highfield 19-12 at Tom Clifford Park.

In Division Three, Bruff romped to a 38-0 win over bottom side Ballina, to move eleventh in the standings.
