The mighty New Zealand All Blacks and Australia will be visiting Lansdowne Road in November as part of the Autumn International series.

Both Southern hemisphere countries and Romania have been confirmed as Ireland’s opponents on the last three weekends in November.

The fixtures are sure to generate a huge amount of interest from the Irish rugby public as New Zealand and Australia are both former World Cup winners. First up will be New Zealand, with the added attraction of a first ever victory over the All Blacks the prize.

The closest Ireland have come to that elusive victory was a 10-all draw in 1973. On their last visit to Lansdowne Road in 2001, Ireland led New Zealand 21-7 early in the second half, only to lose 29-40 to a superb second half All-Blacks display.

Australia will not have as happy memories of their last trip to Dublin in 2002, where Ireland beat the Wallabies 18-9 for the first time in 21 years in dreadful conditions.

Exact dates and times for kick-offs will be confirmed at a later date.

2005 Autumn Internationals:

Ireland V New Zealand – 12/13 November
Ireland v Australia – 19/20 November
Ireland v Romania – 26/27 November
