McMillan out for season with cruciate ligament injury

Neil McMillan has been hit with chronic news following an arthroscopy on his knee. The operation has revealed that he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Following arthoscopic investigation yesterday, it has been confirmed that Neil McMillan has torn the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. This will require reconstructive surgery, which will be undertaken at the appropriate time. Neil will miss the rest of the season.

Ulster Rugby Chief Executive Michael Reid said: The news of the extent of Neil’s injury is extremely disappointing for him personally, and a blow to the Ulster Squad as a whole. However, being the very dedicated player he is, and with the support of the Ulster Medical Staff, I am confident that he will be back, better than ever next season.
