New signing Devlin included in Munster’s Heineken Cup squad

Paul Devlin officially signed for Munster from rugby league side Widnes, in time to be included in the province’s Heineken Cup Squad.

Paul Devlin officially signed for Munster on Wednesday night following medical clearance. Devlin joins Munster from Rugby League side Widnes.

Munster announced their 34 strong squad for the 2004/05 Heineken Cup which includes Paul Devlin at 12 noon on Thrusday.

Paul Devlin joins Munster from Rugby League side Widnes, the 22-year-old slimline sprinter whose father is from Co Dublin, played rugby union for England U18s (Youths) before switching to Ireland.

Devlin has played U21’s with Ireland along side Stephen Keogh and Martin McPhail. His career of late has seen him alternating between Sale Sharks in Union and Widnes in League.
