Gwent Dragons kept their hopes of Celtic League glory very much alive with a four try, 32-14 win over Connacht at The Sportsground. All the first half scoring came in the opening 18 minutes when the Welsh scored three tries – Percy Montgomery, Hal Luscombe and Nathan Brew – while Matt Mostyn scored for Connacht with Eric Elwood adding the conversion.

Connacht, playing with the wind in the second half reduced the deficit further when Mostyn crossed for his second try, Elwood again adding the points, but Montgomery then tagged on two penalties before Craig Warlow secured his side’s bonus point with a try in the closing moments.
