Rugby World Cup Draw 2007

Rugby World Cup Draw 2007

For the first time in Rugby World Cup history, there will be balloted draw for the Tournament in France in 2007.

The draw will be held in Dublin, RWC headquarters, on Wednesday May 12th, at Fado’s Restaurant in Dawson Street.

The top four teams from the Tournament in 2003 will be seeded according to the results of RWC 2003 and allocated across the four pools. The four remaining quarter finalists will make up the second band and will be drawn randomly.

The twelve remaining teams will be banded according to a combination of the RWC 2003 results and the IRB rankings, and will be drawn at random for pool allocations.

Further details will be announced shortly.
