a 16-6 defeat in Thomond Park.

Celtic Warriors 0-28 Ulster:

Ulster got off to a flying start when the forwards took possession with the
line in sight. Paul Steinmetz passed to Shane Stewart who touched down for the
first try of the evening. Humphreys converted and hit over two penalties before
flanker Neil McMillan grabbed another try to move his side into an 18-0 lead
at half time.

And it was Humphreys who was once again the Ulster hero after the break. He
took and converted a try midway and also added another penalty to move his personal
tally to 18 points. Not a bad contribution to the 28-0 scoreline.

Munster 6-16 Gwent Dragons:

Munster lost 16-6 to the Gwent Dragons on Friday evening.

The home side’s only points came from the boot of winger Mossie Lawlor, but
his kicking wasn’t enough to boost the the Munster performance and challenge
the Welsh outfit.

The first-half was a tight affair, with the first points only arriving in the
27th minute when Lawlor put over a penalty. He added another five minutes later
to move Munster into a 6-0 lead with the break in sight, but it was then that
the Dragons roared into action.

Their attacking play resulted in a try for captain Anthony Marinos and Percy
Montgomery’s conversion pushed the visitors into a one-point lead heading to
the dressing rooms. Munster failed to register on the scoreboard in the second
half while Montgomery added three penalties to ensure the win and see the Irish
province suffer their fourth loss in a row in their Celtic League campaign.
