Where Are The Irish Squad

Home to the Ireland squad for the next three weeks is a beachfront hotel on the New South Wales Central Coast where classic surrounds are combined with modern comforts

A reconnaissance mission earlier this year carried out by Eddie O’Sullivan, along with team manager Brian O’Brien and IRFU World Cup operations director Martin Murphy ensured that the Irish squad have secured an outstanding base camp from which to operate.

It is in the quiet sea-side resort of Terrigal, where the plush Crown Plaza Hotel will be home for the next three weeks and from where Ireland will launch their World Cup bid against Romania in neighbouring Gosford on October 11and against Namibia in Sydney on October 19th.

Ireland’s hotel is slap bang on one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the Central Coast; about 90 minutes drive north of Sydney.

The Crowne Plaza is just over an hour’s drive from the Sydney Harbour Bridge, set within the coastal village of Terrigal on the New South Wales Central Coast.
