McIlwham For Munster

Scottish international prop Gordon McIlwham will play his rugby with Munster once his involvement with Scotland ends in this year’s World Cup. The move was confirmed yesterday that the Scottish World Cup member will play out the remainder of this season in the Munster red.

Munster had already agreed terms with New Zealander Mike Storey, but Storey injured himself and will be out of action for most of the season, leaving Munster in something of a bind in relation to the front row.

McIlwham, who played last season with Begles-Bordeaux and prior to that with Glasgow, has been capped 15 times by Scotland, the last occasion being the game against Ireland in Murrayfield earlier this month.
