Ulster were the only Irish side that managed a win in round two of the Celtic League, when they defeated Glasgow 33-6 in Ravenhill on Friday.

Ulster were the only Irish side that managed a win in round two of the Celtic League, when they defeated Glasgow 33-6 in Ravenhill on Friday, with Munster losing in Thomond Park and Connacht and Leinster losing in Wales on Saturday.

Of the trio that were defeated defeated, were the unluckiest, going down to Gareth Wyatt try deep in injury time of their clash wirh Celtic Warriors at Sardis Road to lose 29-22.

Later on that Saturday evening, at the Arms Park, Connacht were beaten 33-17 by Cardiff Blues despite taking an early lead with a try from John O’Sullivan.

On the Friday night, Munster were out-thought and out-fought by a fired up Llanelli Scarlets side who became the first club to win a competitive match in Thomond Park in eight years when they won 19-12, all their points scored by out-half, Gareth Bowen.
