Scotland Undone By Irish In Murrayfield

Ireland scored four tries, three in the second half to record a 29-10 win over Scotland in in Murrayfield this afternoon, a win however that was marred by the first half injury to Geordan Murphy

Ireland scored four tries, three in the second half to record a 29-10 win over Scotland in in Murrayfield this afternoon, a win however that was marred by the first half injury to Geordan Murphy. Murphy was stretchered off in the 19th minute and removed to hospital with a suspected broken leg that will rule him out of the World Cup.

Ireland led 10-3 at half time thanks to a Kevin Maggs try converted by Ronan O’Gara who had earlier kicked a penalty.

In the second half there were tries for Denis Hickie, a first international try for Anthony Horgan and a final score for the impressive David Wallace.
O’Gara converted the final two tries with well struck kicks from out wide.
