Sheahan Appeal Decision This Afternoon

It is expected that the decision regarding Frank Shehan’s appeal against a two-year ban will be announced at lunchtime today by ERC.

It is expected that the decision regarding Frank Shehan’s appeal against a two-year ban will be announced at lunchtime today by ERC. Sheahan’s appeal was heard yesterday (Mon) at the ERC headquarters in Stephens Green, Dublin where his legal team headed by senior counsel Paul Gallagher sat for over six hours with the Appeal Committee which was chaired by Jeff Blackett.

Late last night the meeting concluded and with all submissions on Sheahan’s behalf heard, his solicitor Paul Derham announced that the Committe would inform the ERC of their decision by lunchtime today. Deham would offer no opinion on the likely outcome saying simply that his client (Sheahan) had received a very fair hearing.
