John Hayes has failed to recover from the calf muscle injury picked up in training yesterday and has been forced to withdraw from the Ireland side for Saturday’s game against Italy

John Hayes has failed to recover from the calf muscle injury picked up in training yesterday and has been forced to withdraw from the Ireland side for Saturday’s game against Italy in Thomond Park (3pm). His place in the starting line up goes to Reggie Corrigan who will be winning his 25th cap.

A limited number of terrace tickets will be on sale at the Thomond Park turnstiles from 1 pm on Saturday, for the game that will be refereed by Steve Lander. Running the line for the Englishman will be Nigel Williams (England) and David Changleng (Scotland).
