A crowd of over 82,000 turned up to Sydney’s Telstra Stadium and witnessed the New Zealand All Blacks record a 50-21 win to retain the Bledisloe Cup and establish themselves as firm favourites for RWC 2003. It was an awesome display by the All Blacks whose left wing Joe Rokocoko scored three of his side’s seven tries, all their scores coming from a superlative backline, Doug Howlett, Aaron Mauger, Tana Umaga and substitute Daniel Carter their other try scorers.

Carter came on as a second half replacement for Carlos Spencer who ran the show superbly from the out-half position and contributed enormously to his side’s success.
