Former All Black centre Paul Steinmetz has been confirmed as Ulster’s latest signing just hours after his countryman Christian Cullen announced his intention to join Munster.

Former All Black centre Paul Steinmetz has been confirmed as Ulster’s latest signing just hours after his countryman Christian Cullen announced his intention to join Munster.

Born in Paraparaumu, New Zealand, Steinmetz, the 26 year old centre has been capped once at international level, making his test debut for the All Blacks against Wales in 2002.

Having made his Super 12 debut for the Wellington Hurricanes, Steinmetz has spent the past two seasons with the Otago Highlanders.
