Flatley Dropped From Wallaby Squad

Out-half Elton Flatley has sensationally been cut from the Australian squad ahead of Saturday’s clash with England for sleeping in and missing a morning training session.

Despite the fact that he is already down his number one out-half, Stephen Larkham, Wallaby coach Eddie Jones had no hesitation in cutting Elton Flatley from the squad that will prepare for Saturday’s test against England in Melbourne’s Telsta Dome.

The 26 year old Queenslander missed a Sunday morning training session after a night out with friends following his side’s victory over Wales. Jones had no hesitation in banishing Flatley from the squad and instead of continuing on with his colleagues to Melbourne, the Queenslander returned home to Brisbane.

Now Jones must find a replacement for the game against England next Saturday. He is thought likely to remain within the squad rather than bring in a new face with Nathan Grey the one now linked with the number 10 jersey.

Meanwhile,All Blacks lock Ali Williams has escaped censure following the citing made by Australian commissioner Michael Somes during the New Zealand v England game on Saturday. Wiliams was charged with stamping on the head of England full-back Josh Lewsey but a judicial panel ruled after viewing video replays that the evidence was inconclusive.
