The 2003 IRB U21 World Cup takes begins on Friday 13th June and runs until 29th June in four venues in the Oxfordshire region – Newbury, Iffley Road (Oxford), Kassam Stadium (Oxford) and Henley, hosted by the RFU.

The 12 nations competing are Argentina, Australia, Canada, England, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa and Wales.

Mike Miller, IRB CEO said: “This tournament is a very important and necessary stepping stone for world rugby, giving young players the opportunity to gain experience on the world stage in readiness for their step-up to full international status.

“We look forward to England hosting the second U21 World Cup, an event which promises to live up to last years high standards and seeing if they emanate last year’s host by winning the coveted title.”
