The Leinster Lions are just eighty odd minutes away from a place in the semi-finals of the Heineken Cup and they will have a packed Lansdowne Road behind them this afternoon in their attempt to set up that semi-final meeting with Perpignan.

It promises to be a fascinating game with Leinster set to perform in the extraordinary circumstances of a sell-out Lansdowne Road – a huge tribute to the hard work of Leinster Chief Executive Michael Dawson – and with the partisan crowd behind them Leinster will be at short-odds with the bookies to make it through to the semi-final.

Not that Matt Williams will be in any way complacent about the task his side faces. Biarritz are a good side who have, unlike Leinster, been playing regularly over the past number of weeks, they are at full strength and will relish the opportunity of setting up a semi against Perpignan back home.
