Although Girvan Dempsey did not take a part in training yesterday, the Leinster full-back is expected to be named in the Ireland side when it is announced later today.
Dempsey is suffereing from a slight groin strain but his omission from training is seen as a purely precautionary measure.

Shane Horgan is definitely ruled out of contention with a hamstring injury and that almost certainly means a starting place for Geordan Murphy who scored a spectacular try last Saturday against the Scots.
Rob Henderson should win himself a place on the bench with the real interest centering on who coach Eddie O’Sullivan will pick at out-half.

Ronan O’Gara was favourite for the number 10 spot prior to the Scotland game before an injured ankle settled that debate in favour of David Humphreys who went to have a tremendous game.

Team manager Brian O’Brien will announce the side at a lunchtime press conference today
