“Our (Leicester) season ticket holders and members will be guaranteed priority, Munster will receive an initial allocation of 1,000 tickets.” so said Leicester plc chairman Peter Tom in relation to ticket allocation for the Heineken Cup quarter-final tie between Leicester and Munster.

The statement first published on the official Togers site read.
Following the normal monthly board meeting of Leicester Football Club plc, chairman Peter Tom issued the following statement regarding the forthcoming Heineken Cup quarter final.

“We can confirm that the Heineken Cup quarter final between Leicester Tigers and Munster will take place at Welford Road on Sunday April 13 at 4pm.”
“Our season ticket holders and members have until February 21 to apply for their tickets and they will be guaranteed priority until this deadline.”

Munster will receive an initial allocation of 1,000 tickets and we will review the situation as soon as the requirements of our members and European Rugby Cup Ltd become clear.”

In response, Munster Chief Executive, Garrett Fitzgerald said,
“We have had no official communication from Leicester Tigers or ERC Ltd with regard to the venue for our Heineken Cup quarter final tie. However, we understand that the official Leicester website states that the game will be held in Welford Road.”
“We further understand that Leicester have indicated they will allocate 1000 tickets for Munster supporters. The Heineken Cup Participation Agreement signed by all participants, entitles the visiting team to 25% of all ticket categories and Munster have written to Leicester informing them they will be taking up their full entitlement.”
