Heineken Cup Draw Favours Leinster

If Leinster overcome the French challenge of Biarritz in the Heineken Cup quarter-final they will play their semi-final in Lansdowne Road against either Llanelli or Perpignan

Toulouse or Northampton v Leicester or Munster.
Leinster or Biarritz v Llanelli or Perpignan.

If Leinster overcome the French challenge of Biarritz in the Heineken Cup quarter-final they will play their semi-final in Lansdowne Road against the winners of the Llanelli v Perpignan tie. It’s the best possible draw that Leinster could have hoped for but Munster certainly drew the short straw in the knock-out stages and to reach the final they’ll certainly have to do it the hard way. They face Leicester away in the quarters and if they were to win that one they’ll have to take to the road again for a sem-final joust with either Toulouse or Northampton.
With home advantage, Toulouse will start at long-odds on to account for Northampton in the quarter-final.
