Ulster coach Alan Solomons has named an unchanged side for Friday’s Heineken Cup clash with Northampton at Ravenhill (7.05).

Ulster coach Alan Solomons has named an unchanged side for Friday’s Heineken Cup clash with Northampton at Ravenhill (7.05) with Justin Fitzpatrick – returning from suspension – having to content himself with a place on the bench. Solomons has opted to stick with Simon Best who proved an able substitute in the game against Cardiff.

It’s the first time that Ulster have been able to field an unchanged side all season and they know exactly what they need to do (basically out-score the Saints by four tries) if they are to gain themselves a knock-out place.

Ulster. Bryn Cunningham; James Topping, Ryan Constable, Shane Stewart, Sheldon Coulter; David Humphreys, Neil Doak; Robbie Kempson, Matt Sexton, Simon Best; Gary Longwell, Jeremy Davidson; Andy Ward (capt), Neil McMillan, Tony McWhirter.
Replacements: Justin Fitzpatrick, Paul Shields, Mark Blair, Russell Nelson, Kieran Campbell, Jan Cunningham, Scott Young.
