Ulster made it into the semi-final of Celtic League for the second successive
season with a narrow victory of 20 points to 17 over Glasgow at a rain drenched
Hughenden.

Ulster will now face Munster in the semi-final after last season’s beaten finalists
dismissed Connacht 33-3 on Friday evening.

Paul Shields scored Ulster’s first try but it was the appearance after the
break of Captain Andy Ward and Ryan Constable that turned Ulster’s fortunes.
Glasgow had a 7 point lead in the 58th minute when the ball found its way to
replacement Constable who sprinted 50 metres clear, and excellent support work
allowed Humphreys to put Ward over the line for a try which Humphries converted.

And it was David Humphreys’s who kicked a penalty in the 65th minute to give
Ulster the lead that saw them through to the semi-final
