Munster Beat off Connacht in Cork

Munster claimed a comprehensive 33-3 win over Connacht in Celtic League quarter-final at Musgrave Park in Cork. In the other Quarter Final, Neath beat Pontypridd 13-12.

League quarter-final at Musgrave Park in Cork. In the other Quarter Final, Neath
beat Pontypridd 13-12.

Munster claimed their place in the Celtic League Semi-Final with Mike Mullins
scoring two of Munster’s four tries, followed by Mossie Lawlor and Paul O’Connell.
The remainder of Munsters 13 points were scored by Ronan O’Gara. Connacht’ s
sole scorer was Mark McHugh with an early penalty.

While at Sardis Road Former Pontypridd favourite Lee Jarvis returned to haunt
Ponty and kick Neath through to the Celtic League semi-finals. Neath beat off
Pontypridd by 13 points to 12. All Pontypridd’s points coming from Neil Jenkins
penalties, while Neath got a penalty try, a conversion from O’Connor and Jarvis’s
two penalties to clinch the win.
